What Proving Ground is.

Proving Ground fights take place during select Destruct-A-Thon performances. Rookie teams can demonstrate that a robot is ready for the larger BattleBots stage, established teams can test new systems, and developing machines can gain real arena experience before their next application or competition.

Teams apply and receive clearance before marking their availability. Selected robots then fight in the actual BattleBox in front of a live audience—an environment that reveals far more than a workshop test ever could.

Fox’s production role

From the BattleBox to the builder’s channel.

Fox supports the multi-camera production path around each fight: technical readiness, live switching and line cuts, recording, media handling, and continuity inside an active performance environment. The finished fight media can then be delivered to participating builders for their own audiences.

  • Multi-camera production and live signal flow
  • Technical direction and line-cut creation
  • Recording, media organization, and handoff
  • Fast troubleshooting between live fights
  • Builder-ready production deliverables
